TRAUMA IN THE CLASSROOM
Most students spend more time with their teacher in the classroom than with their own family at home. It is imperative classrooms feel safe and inspire learning among all students. Simple changes can brighten each day, especially for students suffering from trauma. Foster youth challenges, children with family disruptions, hunger, poverty and abuse, all are some types of trauma that can spill over into the classroom.

Every teacher should have adequate training to create and maintain a trauma informed classroom. We will send an expert trainer to your school or all the schools in your district to help this become a reality. If your school is on a tight budget, we offer virtual live trainings as well. Professional development allows teachers to better their practice year after year to become the best teacher possible. To help students who have past trauma or are currently suffering from trauma, Trauma Informed Classroom has mastered the art of trauma awareness and sensitivity.
